    Publicação do Acordo sobre a dispensa de vistos entre o Governo da Região Administrativa Especial de Macau da República Popular da China e o Governo da República de Polónia

    O Chefe do Executivo manda publicar, nos termos do n.º 1 do artigo 6.º e da alínea 2) do artigo 5.º da Lei n.º 3/1999 da Região Administrativa Especial de Macau, o Acordo sobre a dispensa de vistos entre o Governo da Região Administrativa Especial de Macau da República Popular da China e o Governo da República de Polónia.

    AGREEMENT

    BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF

    THE MACAO SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION

    OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

    AND

    THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND

    ON THE ABOLITION OF VISA REQUIREMENTS

    The Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, duly authorised to conclude this Agreement by the Government of the People's Republic of China, and the Government of the Republic of Poland, (hereinafter referred to as the "Contracting Parties"),

    Desiring to facilitate exchange of visits of people of the Contracting Parties,

    Have agreed as follows:

    Article 1

    1. Holders of valid passports of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China shall be allowed to enter, leave, transit and stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland without visas for up to 3 months from the date of entry.

    2. Citizens of the Republic of Poland holding valid travel documents shall be allowed to enter, leave, transit and stay in the territory of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China without visas for up to 3 months from the date of entry.

    Article 2

    The provisions under Article 1 hereof shall not apply to those holders of travel documents of either Contracting Party who intend to enter the territory of the other Contracting Party to take up employment or any other gainful occupation or permanent residence there.

    Article 3

    For the purposes of this Agreement, valid travel documents shall be as follows:

    1) For residents of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China:

    Passport of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.

    2) For citizens of the Republic of Poland:

    a) Passport,

    b) Diplomatic passport,

    c) Service passport (issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs),

    d) Passport (issued on a form),

    e) Seaman's Book.

    Article 4

    While crossing the borders and while in the territory of the other Contracting Party, holders of travel documents of each Contracting Party shall respect the laws and regulations in force in the other Contracting Party.

    Article 5

    The provisions of this Agreement shall not affect the right of each Contracting Party to refuse its consent to any holder of the other Contracting Party's travel document it may consider undesirable to enter into or stay in its territory.

    Article 6

    Each Contracting Party may, for reasons of public order, public health or for other reasons, suspend, either in whole or in part, the application of this Agreement in either all or part of its territory. However, the other Contracting Party shall be notified in writing in advance of such suspension of the Agreement and its subsequent resumption.

    Article 7

    The Contracting Parties shall exchange specimens of their valid travel documents, as specified in Article 3 hereof, not later than thirty days before the entry of this Agreement into force.

    In the case of any change to the travel documents currently in use, or of new travel documents being introduced, their specimens shall be transmitted in the same manner, not later than thirty days prior to their introduction.

    Article 8

    This Agreement shall enter into force thirty days after the receipt of the last notification in writing that all of the Contracting Parties' respective internal procedures necessary for the entry of this Agreement into force have been complied with.

    Article 9

    This Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period of time. It may be denounced by either Contracting Party by means of notification. In such a case, the Agreement shall become null and void ninety days after the receipt of notification to that effect.

    Done at Macao, on 3rd September 2001 in duplicate originals, each in the Chinese, Polish and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence of interpretation, the English text shall prevail.
